Last Post January 24. How can the time go so fast.

Well it's been almost a month since the last post which is hard for me to believe. I have tried to come up with a good excuse like "we left our camera in Tucson and I couldn't get our pictures" which really did happen. We have a Spanish inscription on our wall that says "One day at a time" which has become our motto. The days come one at a time and just seem to fly by so quickly and before you know it a month has passed.

We have been very busy here at CVE since the last post. We had 3 teams in January and a small group of 3 couples in early February. Rockville was here this past week and we are expecting 3 more teams in March before the dedication of the Church. It's incredible to see how God sends those with so many different talents to help with the various jobs to be done. There have been those from all walks of life who can build, weld, paint, tile, sew, tune pianos (which everyone was very excited about) cook wonderful meals, just be here for the kids and the list goes on and on.

"Moreover there are workman with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work." 1 Chronicles 22:15

We have such a wonderful fellowship and church family.

We had a few visitors from back home this month for which we are thankful. Loren and Joan Knapp, Gene and Carole Zobrist, Nancy and Jerry Knapp, and Bob Knapp drove down from Tucson to spend a day with us.

We also have our nephew David Leman here from Roanke Illinois. Nate has been counting the days to his arrival. They are the best of friends and have a lot in common. There were several boys about their age in the group from Rockville. They have been playing hard with the boys from CVE and having a great time together.

I am posting some more pictures of the kids below. I had several on the last post and hope to get them all at some point. I know you will see some repeats of many of them and as you see their pictures please remember to pray for them. They are the reason CVE is here.

Well that's all the pictures I have of the kids for now. I will try to get them all posted before another month goes by.

I almost forgot we did have one other visitor. Former US President George W. Bush came down for a little R and R after a tough 8 years in office. He wanted to met with Rico to discuss the results of his foreign policy on dog care in Mexico. He also spent some quality time with Nate and David

Nate and George - He is much shorter in real life than he appears on TV.

I will try very hard not to let another month slip by without a new post. We appreciate your prayers.

Thanks for the pictures, it is good to see all of the kids again. It was good to see former president George w. in such good spirits. Exiting news in your family, Caleb and Olivia's engagement. We are very happy for your family. We continue to pray for your work that is being done in Magdelena. May God continue to bless and keep you.

We think of you, and are glad that you're getting settled:) it's been a couple of weeks since your last post - how's the language coming? Don't tell anyone but GW put on David's watch for the picture. Does David know that it is missing?

Gail, I'm really glad you noticed that. It's not the first time we have noticed this problem with George. I think the stress of all his years in office and too much strawberry milk have caused him to drift a little. If you look closely at the picture of him and the girls you will notice some slobber on his shirt. Anyway, I have recovered the watch and we are returning it to David. Nice catch.

Thanks
Mike Z.
