I can't believe how fast the time is flying by. Last week there were some puppies wondering around at CVE and Nate and Joel took them back to the neighbors. The owner asked if they wanted to keep them and Nate jumped at the chance. He carried his new puppy around all evening. We tried to warn him that puppies can cry and whine all night when separated from their mother but he was sure he had the best dog in the world. His puppy was going to sleep all night and not cause any problems. By 1 in the morning he was in our room with tears because "This puppy won't let me sleep." He named him "Rico" and things are going much better as he gets adjusted to his new home.

We started our language training a week ago Monday. We have been going to CVE for breakfast with the work teams and then head back home for class. Ruth, our teacher arrives around 9:30 in the morning and we work with her until around 11:30. We head back to CVE for lunch and then spend 2-3 hours studying with Kali in the afternoons. My mind is just a jumble of words and phrases. I hope it all starts coming together soon.

Last weekend we went to Tucson to meet the team from Cissna and pick up Zach. It's good to finally get him here. He had a great time with his friends over Christmas break. I also found a bike shop and got my bike fixed. I tried riding it a few days after the big crash and the rear de-railer broke off. I have been trying to ride back and fourth to CVE as much as possible. It's been very busy with language training, trying to finish unpacking and fixing things around the house. We are getting to know both the staff, the children and the town better which has been a blessing. The weather has been warming up this week and the nights have been fairly mild. There was a full moon this week which was absolutely beautiful rising over the mountains. We have such an awesome God and Creator.
